One Year Later: A Life-Changing Transformation

I'm 5'6", 43 years old, and a mom of two. I started my journey on March 22, 2023, at 237 pounds. My BMI was 38.2, A1C was 5.7, and my blood pressure was 130/84. At the time, I wore size 16/18 pants and XL tops. My doctor had begun watching my blood pressure and A1C levels closely and agreed to start me on weight loss medication.
For the first four months, I was on the name-brand medication and had insurance coverage, but I was constantly battling supply issues—calling up to 50 pharmacies a day trying to locate it. That’s when I found Emerge. I decided to try compounded medication, and when my insurance company sent a letter in June stating it would end coverage for weight loss meds, I fully committed to compounds and haven’t looked back since.
One year later, my stats tell the story:
Weight: 158 lbs
BMI: 25.5
A1C: 5.3
Blood Pressure: 120/72
Clothing Size: Size 8 bottoms, S/M tops
The transformation has been incredible. But what I’m most thankful for are the non-scale victories:
Better sleep
No more mindless snacking
A strong focus on my health like never before
I naturally started gravitating toward healthier food choices, especially meals focused on protein and fiber. And even more important? I never restricted any foods. This was all about balance.
Now, almost 44, I feel better than ever—inside and out.
