Taking the Leap: 27 Pounds Down and a Healthier Life Ahead

I decided to start taking control of my health.

I've had some scary things happen with my blood pressure, and I'm just tired of feeling so out of shape and unable to get out there and live like I used to. So I made a change since school began. Knowing that the prescription should help me combat cravings and hunger, I did make some drastic changes.


Cold turkey I began clean eating (mostly, like 97% ha) staying at under 1500 calories per day. Lots of protein. No sweets. Very little carbs. A big kicker? I used to drink a diet soda every block at school. That's a lot. I've switched all but one out for water.


I'm down 27 pounds and 1-1/2 dress sizes! Now, I know that's mostly water weight and inflammation. But it needed to go, and I can feel the difference.

I've watched lots of TikToks on high protein low calorie recipes, and Sam's has some great options that has helped tremendously. I expect my loss will slow to about 2 pounds a week at this point. But who knows? Excited to see.


I was honestly scared to start. But it's painless. And I'm so glad I took the leap!
