My name is Monica Baldwin and I have been struggling with my weight since we moved to North Dakota in 2017. I wasn't happy here and depression set in. But the oilfield jobs are here so we had to move where there was better paying jobs. So we packed up from Montana and moved to Williston North Dakota. The winters here are insane w -50° temps. So depression took ahold and my weight began to increase.

I've never been over 180lbs in my life and here I reached a whooping 228lbs. Other contributing factors were my age (im 50), medical issues, hysterectomy at age 29 and donated a kidney in 2009. I've had many medical issues stemming from my kidney donation from two hernia's and then just this past year it became infected and the mesh had to be removed which was a big surgery. I also suffer from Osteoarthritis and joint disease. I am disabled at this point so losing weight was very very difficult for me. My Doctors nurse gave me a website to visit and it was EMERGE!!

I read all the stories on there of other peoples journeys and successes so 🤷 I decided to take a chance and finally find something that truly worked. I started my journey at 228lbs and I am now at 175lbs. My target weight goal is 160lbs. What I love about Emerge is that for me it was a slow but steady weight loss. All other fads you lose weight fast and gain it all right back. I feel soooo much better that I am off my antidepressants and I feel my confidence coming back.

I HATED how I looked and felt and now because of Emerge I have my self love back. I may still be disabled physically but as far as my mental state, that has gone from such negative emotions and embarrassment to a positive outlook and I can look in the mirror again! Thank you Emerge and all your staff. They have been there for me ANYTIME and EVERY TIME I've needed them. My current pictures are at 175lbs.
